1. Overview

We purchased a drill press that is used in the jewelry industry. We use the drill press for drilling points into microscope slides to establish a flow cell. The drill bits we used are 1.4 mm diamond coated drill burrs. These cost $4.80. The quartz slides you will use cost $15.00 ea. Please don’t use the drill bit to the last of its life. You will break the slide.

2. Maintenance
Section titled “2. Maintenance”- Make sure the drill press and base are completely dry after drilling – prevent rust.
- The manual is a hardcopy. It will always be next to the drill press.
