The sonicator is used to disrupt membranes using high frequency vibrations.
We have a Fisher Scientific Model 705 Sonic Dismembrator. This is a re-branded Qsonica Sonicator Q700 PDF. Fisher did not have their manual online, so the Qsonica manual is attached.
1.1 Available tips
Section titled “1.1 Available tips”- 1/4” tip – for lysis of up to 250 ml of cell culture
- 1/16” microtip – for lipid sonication only.

2. Bath Sonicator

The bath sonicator is useful for cleaning various instruments and using ultrasonic frequencies to break apart cells.
