Slide Heater Drawings

Drawings for the microscope slide heater. The Welch Hall chemistry machine shop made it for us. That shop is no longer listed among the Chemistry department’s facilities, so use these drawings if a heater needs to be rebuilt.

  • Mechanical Engineering machine shop, ETC 1.210C, me-machine-shop@utexas.edu. Its page lists a flat rate of $51/hr and charges funded research groups for consultations. Ask before sending work, since the page doesn’t say whether it takes jobs from other colleges.
  • Chemistry Instrument Design & Repair, WEL 2.130, handles electronic and electromechanical work, not machining.
  • Drawings for the black throne and the Prior H230 slide stage are on vendor templates; ask the lab manager for copies.
